Enhanced gripability and insulation value.

The combination of the Bib with the beverage cup is easier to hold in a human hand and further insulates the hand from hot or cold liquid contained within the cup. This is especially valuable when the cup is a disposable paper product and has little inherent insulating value.

Overflow or spill protection.

The Bevi-Bib™ in combination with the beverage cup provides protection against overflow and spill of the beverage contained within the cup. Such protection may be obtained in two ways. First, in terms of its general use, the Bib may extend outward over the hand holding the beverage therefore protecting it by catching and absorbing any overflow or spill from the open end of the cup. Second, the Bib may also be elevated vertically to act as an immediate guard from spill that could occur during unsteady transportation of the beverage.

Use as an individual napkin.

In its preferred embodiment the Bib may be easily detached from the cup holder and used separately by the consumer. Detachment is made easy by perforations in the Bib where it meets the cup.

          

Streamlining of material dispensation,
consumption and waste management.

When compared to a napkin and beverage dispensed separately the following becomes evident. The combination of the Bevi-Bib™ and beverage form an individually complete package that is more easily manageable by the consumer. Furthermore, upon exit of the establishment a consumer having a Bevi-Bib™ with their beverage is less likely to take a handful of individually dispensed napkins in haste. This will substantially reduce excess consumption of napkins, lowering production costs and the resulting waste left in and around the retailer’s establishment.
